Os treinos físicos e musculares mais estranhos dos pilotos de Topo

 

Nem todos os treinos e metodologias de treino são ortodoxas. Há algumas que são bem estranhas e esquisitas. Pelo menos quando equacionadas para os pilotos de formula 1 e de Rally. No entanto, durante as pré-temporada. é normal passar longos meses longe das pistas e perto do ginásios. E, nem sempre praticam os desportos e atividades físicas mais obvias, como pode constatar abaixo: 

Malabarismo

É sério. Jogar bolinhas para o alto está entre as atividades de preparação de alguns pilotos. Campeão mundial de Fórmula 1 no ano passado, Nico Rosberg mantinha os reflexos em dia fazendo malabarismo. Às vezes, ainda pedalava um monociclo no meio da atividade, para ficar mais difícil. Max Verstappen é outro adepto dessa prática no “circo” da Fórmula 1, com o perdão do trocadilho

Câmaras de calor

O piloto de rally Harry Hunt se joga numa câmara de calor para simular as condições que enfrenta no Rally Dakar, onde as temperaturas passam dos 45ºC, às vezes superando 55ºC dentro do carro. “E tudo isso a 4.500 metros de altitude. O corpo humano não está preparado para esse tipo de exigência. Então, eu pedalo ou faço esteira dentro da câmara de calor, para me aclimatar e lidar melhor com a perda de líquidos e aumento da temperatura corporal”.

Squash

O bon vivant James Hunt, campeão mundial de Fórmula 1 em 1976, era um adepto desse esporte. “Durante os anos mais difíceis da minha carreira, era a única forma de relaxar”, disse em entrevista ao biógrafo Gerald Donaldson. Bem, sabemos que não era a única, mas de qualquer forma o squash ajudava Hunt a extrair o máximo dele mesmo, esfriando a cabeça enquanto fortalecia as pernas, os braços e os reflexos.

Aviões de controle remoto

Juan Pablo Montoya reconhece que não gosta de treinar. Mas isso a gente já sabe, certo? O que chama a atenção é o que ele encontrou para substituir essas atividades. “Voar de aeromodelo começou como uma diversão, mas tem seus benefícios. Um dos meus aviões é muito difícil de controlar. Você precisa se concentrar para manter voando por 15, 20 minutos, reagindo aos problemas rapidamente. Então é um ótimo treino mental para uma corrida de 500 milhas”. Antes de você começar a rir, é bom lembrar que nessa estratégia o “gordito” já ganhou duas vezes as 500 milhas de Indianápolis.

Triatlo

Jenson Button, campeão mundial de Fórmula 1 em 2009, escolheu o triatlo porque ficava “facilmente entediado” nos treinamentos. No triatlo, é meio difícil isso acontecer. Enquanto a corrida e o pedal oferecem exercícios aeróbicos importantes (o coração de um piloto trabalha acima de 80% da capacidade durante um GP inteiro), a natação estimula o ganho muscular, melhora a resistência e a flexibilidade e ainda esfria a cuca, literalmente.

Escalada

Alexander Wurz, bicampeão das 24 horas de Le Mans, e Aleix Espargaró, piloto da Suzuki na MotoGP, são dois adeptos da escalada. O exercício trabalha muito a parte superior do corpo e traz inúmeros benefícios mentais. Entre eles, ganho de noção espacial e capacidade de tomar decisões rapidamente.
